Okay, I know... I just moaned about text language and shortened words but these two words/abbreviations meant a lot to me when my mother talked to me about them.
Guessed what they mean yet? I asked my form tutor, quite embarrassing when he came out with something along the "Period Menstral.. something." I did the same with some of my friends but they came out with a slightly immature statement, I'm not going to write it but I'm sure you could think of it in your head.
PMA - Positive mental attitude.
NMA - Negative mental attitude.
In my opinion, if you have more of a PMA, better things will come out of it. You will look at mistakes as a form of moving forward and learning from them, what went well, how it could be changed to be even better, etc. - Reflecting is a better way to put it.
Sometimes, having a NMA, good things will come but it closes doors and lessens your oppertunities, optimistic people are normally chosen because they can be flexible, learn and grow into something that could be used in the future, they will have knowledge. Look at it this way, if you have a cicle and a balloon, you expand the balloon within the circle, it should fit perfectly within it. Whereas if you have a balloon and a triangle shape, there will still be space, the space is a way of having a NMA, you won't want to grow and learn from mistakes, meaning that space won't be filled.
Changing is a way of changing this. You mould the triangle until the balloon fits perfectly within it. The shape will grow and along with the shape, the balloon will expand more. This is how I view things sometimes, Making mistakes in work, learning from it and changing/revising so you don't do it again. It goes with anything, baking a cake, burning it wrong and then thinking "What could go worse?" Just think, at least you didn't burn the house down, it's only a small amount of smoke and a charcoaled cake on the side, waiting to either be tasted by daring people or put in the bin and starting again.
When life throws tasks at you, don't sit there and say it's too hard. Don't be a triangle. Be a circle, remember; "What's the worst that could ever happen?" I know you can do it, but do you know you can?

It does as the title states. Rants from a young adult living life within a small rural town.
